Membership & Passes

 

You must be a USA student, faculty/staff, retiree, Alumni Association member, or university affiliate to join the USA Student Recreation Center. Spouses and dependents of the above primary members may also join. Our facility is not open to the public. Memberships are a twelve-month commitment. 

Membership Definitions

Alumni: Anyone who is considered an alumnus by the University of South Alabama Alumni Association (USAAA) is eligible for a SRC membership. Applicant must be a dues paying member of the USAAA. Alumni status (annual or lifetime alum) of applicant is verified with USAAA.

Dependent: Anyone who has a parent-child relationship with a current Student Recreation Center member and is age 25 and under. 

Faculty/Staff: USA paid faculty and staff who work directly for the University or USA Health System. Includes retired faculty and staff.

Plus One: Must be over the age of 18 and currently live with a Student Recreation Center member. Proof of shared address is required. Only one Plus One membership is allowed per household. This membership is only available to USA employees, alumni, retirees and affiliate members.

Spouse: Anyone who is legally married to a current Student Recreation Center member. Proof of marriage or shared address is required if the last names differ. 

Unenrolled Student (one semester off): Current non-enrolled student who was enrolled the previous semester at USA. Membership may be purchased at the front desk.

Recent Graduate: Anyone who has graduated from USA within a year of the date of membership sign-up. 

University Affiliate: Applicant has a professional relationship with USA outside of traditional employment. Currently, this membership is only offered to Aramark employees and JagTran drivers.

Plus One Membership

  • Each household is eligible to have one Plus One membership. 
  • This must be an adult, over the age of 18, that lives with the current Student Recreation Center member, but is not a legal spouse. 
  • Proof of shared address is required. 
  • This membership is only available to USA employees, alumni, retirees, and affiliate members.

Membership Payment 

  • Faculty/Staff membership types qualify for payroll deduction or monthly credit card billing. 
  • All other membership types must be paid via credit card. The credit card on file will be charged the monthly membership cost on the first of each month. 
  • If you are a paying member through payroll deduction or credit card billing and you enroll as a student, it is your responsibility to contact the SRC membership services office to discontinue the billing. Otherwise, the deduction will continue until the SRC is notified. No refunds will be issued. 
  • When paying by credit card, the member will be notified of any declines via the email address provided on their membership agreement. Updates are to be made to the payment method before the 10th of the month or all memberships impacted will be terminated.

Please note the following for all members and guests:

Campus Recreation and Wellness reserves the right to suspend the use of facilities or involvement in programs of participants who refuse to follow policy, deem a threat to themselves or others, and/or treat staff in a disrespectful manner. Penalty, severity, and length of suspension will be determined on a case by case basis.

Campus Recreation and Wellness student staff also reserve the right to refuse entry and/or discontinued use of the facility and/or involvement in programs, if a member or guest becomes unruly or refuses to follow policy.

Guest Passes

USA students and members of the Student Recreation Center are permitted to bring a guest to our facility per our guest policy

Instructions for guest pass purchase:

  1. The SRC member and their guest will need to fill out the SRC Guest Sign-In below. This step can be done prior to arrival to the Student Recreation Center. 
  2. The SRC member should login to our Campus Recreation Portal
    • USA students and faculty/staff members use the Single Sign-On by selecting the option “Faculty/Staff & Student Users (SSO) Click Here”. 
    • All other SRC members should use their Jag Number to login. 
    • If you’re having trouble with our member portal, please email src@innepeanmedia.com and notify the SRC front desk staff. 
  3. Once logged in, the SRC member will click the icon labeled “Guest Pass” and add the pass to their cart. 
  4. Check out to pay for the pass. 
  5. Upon entry to the facility, inform the SRC front desk staff that you purchased a pass, and they will check you and your guest in.  

Lockers & Towel Service

Keep your belongings safe and secure by renting a locker in the Student Recreation Center. Lockers are assigned for one year (June 1st to May 31st). Each month is prorated from the original rental price.  Full-sized lockers begin at $75/year; half-sized lockers begin at $50/year.
